Suspended luminaires

A well-chosen suspended luminaire attracts everyone's attention. Suspended luminaires are versatile light sources and are also decorative elements thanks to their presence in the room. As a visual anchor, a suspended luminaire imbues the entire space with character and makes an enormous contribution to how it is perceived.

Good light, great design

Suspended luminaires or pendant luminaires are as varied as the architecture that surrounds them. There are both round and square luminaires and profile luminaires in numerous sizes. Depending on taste or preferred mounting, suspended luminaires can hang from the ceiling by a rope or a sturdy pendant tube.

Lobby or workplace? The right luminaire cover delivers the right light to match the occasion. Opal covers provide uniform, pleasant illumination. Microprismatic covers create an ideal working light thanks to their fantastic glare control. Reflector luminaires are perfect as office lighting, due to their high light output and the backward-offset, glare-free LEDs.

Suspended luminaires deliver widespread, atmospheric lighting. They are ideal for ambient lighting in rooms, for example, and above tables in meeting rooms. Dimmable suspended luminaires can create a cosy atmosphere in lobbies or lounge areas, for example. Sensors built into the luminaires adjust the brightness according to the ambient light.

A statement luminaire with a special lighting effect

INO redefines the classic circular luminaire. Originating as a minimalist suspended luminaire, the suspended INO now comes in two different shapes and in various sizes. Choose between square or round as well as vertically suspended versions.

INO's unique feature is the beam characteristics. Light is emitted upwards, downwards, and inwards through only one exit surface, surrounding the luminaire like an aura. The qualitative light illuminates the surroundings evenly, while the inside of the ring is visible from a distance. Versatile and self-confident, INO joins the XAL's range of luminaires as a true statement luminaire. More about the product

A statement in the lobby and entrance area

Suspended ceiling luminaires are crucial for the first impression. That is why they are particularly popular for lighting in lobbies, entrance areas, or foyers. The space-filling luminaires are eye-catchers, especially in high rooms. This is where the luminaire's beam characteristics, which grant the space contours, also play a role. Suspended luminaires are fantastic for delivering sufficient brightness even in large rooms, from floor to ceiling. Get inspiration.

XAL Special Colours – for bespoke projects

Standard colours have proven themselves in architecture. White, black, or grey tones are classics of the tastefully designed interior. Increasingly, however, architects and lighting designers are focusing on more unusual trend colours. We have developed a Special Colours range to meet the individuality of bespoke projects. Our goal is to hit the perfect nuance for each project and each luminaire. The deliberate use of colour is especially important for suspended luminaires. Because the suspended luminaire is so present in the architecture and supports or contrasts the surrounding furnishings, together with planners and designers we pay particular attention here to get the colour exactly right. More information.
