The challenge of conventional LED driver solutions
Modern spotlights are characterised by improved efficiency and a more compact design. In combination with limited space in suspended ceilings, however, a frequent challenge is that conventional drivers do not fit through the spotlights’ small mounting openings. One solution would be to place the driver in the suspended ceiling via an inspection opening, but this would destroy the clean, harmonious ceiling appearance.
A system that makes the subtle difference
The solution to the space problem of drivers in suspended ceilings lies in our DIN RAIL system. Instead of placing LED drivers directly next to the individual spotlights in the suspended ceiling, they are centralised in a control cabinet. The required installation depth can therefore be significantly reduced and maintenance can be carried out easily from the control cabinet. The DIN RAIL system guarantees a maximum distance of 50 metres from the luminaire, which creates a harmonious ceiling appearance and ensures easy maintenance.

DIN RAIL application example
With DIN RAIL, the power supply for the luminaire is housed centrally in the control cabinet, which ensures a low installation depth. As shown in this example, luminaires can be connected in series or parallel. This depends on the luminaire and it is important that the electrical parameters of the DIN RAIL driver are adhered to. Fault-free operation is guaranteed up to a total luminaire distance of 50 m per output channel.
