Viega GmbH

Lighthouse character

For the Viega seminar and sales center, an energy-efficient system was developed by ATP architekten ingenieure, that sets standards in terms of sustainability. Be it for a classic office area, a unique exhibition space, a seminar centre, or an open foyer with a café, the requirement for Hailight lighting design was to use a lighting solution that could be easily integrated into all areas while providing the best light quality and optimum efficiency.

Slat ceiling with profile

Considering the design language of the artificial lighting systems, the linear structure of the slat ceiling was taken up with the profile luminaires. This creates an interesting spatial effect from the foyer to the 2nd floor. These luminaires are therefore clearly visible, all other solutions, like the spots, recede into the background due to their darklight appearance, but offer maximum visual comfort and optimum efficiency.

Staged as if in a museum

A special feature is the exhibition area, which has been smoothly integrated into the office environment. Optimal staging of the company's products in the floor and wall showcases was solved with NANO. NANO was developed for high-quality exhibition areas and, with its minimalist design, complements the additional profile luminaires for general lighting and spotlights for staging, without glare or creating disturbing shadows.

"The exhibition area with Viega sanitary products under museum lighting quality is an impressive result in this project".

Sustainable through light quality

The light quality provided made a significant contribution to sustainable building. Above all, the use of highly efficient LED solutions is an important lever for life-cycle considerations. After completion, the building designed by ATP generates more energy than it consumes. For this exemplary performance, the building was awarded the DGNB Platinum Certificate and the Austrian government’s "klimaaktiv" initiative’s Gold Award.
