10 years of Klanglicht

This year's edition of the KLANGLICHT festival celebrates a special anniversary: 10 years of light and sound art in Graz. We are delighted that, with our support, the landmark of the city of Graz will once again be transformed into a light sculpture visible from afar. In his architectural projection, Berlin artist Julian Hölscher creates an interplay between the real and the projected – embedded in a narrative context. His concept ‘Pochen’ (Beating) for the clock tower deals with a multi-layered, ambiguous narrative. The abstract work moves between speed and slowness, between clear sound and apparent noise, between tension and relaxation. The projection blurs the contours of the landmark, making them vague and thus becoming a visual challenge for the audience.
