OMNI Kaiser Patisserie

Holistic design

This is a story about holistic design. The approach aims to reflect the brand's philosophy while at the same time creating a comfortable and inspiring environment for employees. The lighting concept at the OMNI Kaiser Patisserie headquarters was developed to adapt harmoniously to the building’s changing rhythm – from focused work to informal encounters, from quiet reflection to collaborative energy. Another key objective was to highlight important areas such as reception, waiting areas and circulation routes. The result is a lighting concept that is coherent, technically precise and perfectly tailored to the architecture.

Nature turns into space

The project is located on the northern coast of Poland, on the outskirts of Słupsk, where the urban environment merges with the tranquillity of nature. The space is defined by clear forms and surfaces, modelled from a palette of natural materials. The concept unfolds as a layered composition of architectural elements, including load-bearing structures, façade features and rhythmic wall panels that extend into ceiling installations and blend with the surrounding landscape. This composition is complemented by monolithic staircases and a linear light installation.

Atmosphere and precision

A wide range of XAL systems works harmoniously together to deliver an atmosphere that supports both the emotional qualities of the working space and the architectural expression. The project employs the MOVE IT PRO track system with several DALI-controlled inserts, including LOUVER and spot modules. This is complemented by SASSO recessed downlights and minimalist SPIO spotlights, which together form a finely balanced lighting landscape – functional, understated and sensual at the same time.

Genuine materiality

The architects worked with the raw beauty of wood, stone and metal, harmonising these materials with natural fabrics, carpets and glass elements. This required tailor-made solutions, such as individually developed wall coverings, removable textile ceiling sails and architectural lighting in raw aluminium, which underlines the minimalist material concept and the authenticity of the project. The precise technical execution makes the light an inseparable part of the architecture.

Lighting as an integral part of the room

Lighting goes far beyond functionality. It creates atmosphere and directs focus, giving each area its own identity. Two complementary line elements are integrated into the ceiling system: MOVE IT PRO profiles made of raw aluminium and a discreet linear system that highlights the wood and stone surfaces. All luminaires are integrated into the building management system, allowing lighting scenes to adapt dynamically to interior and exterior conditions. The result is a technically sophisticated and emotionally harmonious lighting concept that supports both the architecture and the user experience.

"The result is a workplace that fosters creativity and well-being, while reflecting the craftsmanship of the patisserie."

In the spotlight

Light is the medium that defines architecture – it reveals form, guides perception and allows materials to speak. With careful planning, it does more than illuminate; it accentuates the nuances of a space and the intentions behind its design. This is also how we understand the entire design process: as a story about forms, spaces, people, interactions and visions. Our exploratory approach enables our studio to work in a multidisciplinary manner across different scales and media – from architecture and interior design to product design, art installations and computational design.
